1. Invalid (IR8 rules out any inference from particular to universal)

6. Valid (IR5)

Note: remember ‘valid’ means if the premises were true, the conclusion would be true”. Therefore, we cannot learn whether an argument’s claim is true or false just by saying the argument is valid. We must independently learn the truth or falsity of the premises.
